My Review

Me and Leah went to see "Up" in 3-D last night and I really really liked it. It was absolutely adorable, with a storyline and it was funny! Definently something to buy when it comes out on DVD. It was really cute, I definently suggest going to see it, plus Leah loved it, but the glasses became a distraction for her (only my child:-).

My baby is growing up!

I love having a girl, they are elegant and sweet and God knew exactly what to give to me. I espeically love dressing her up and stuff, but now that she is 6, she doesn't want bows and ribbons and she doesn't want to wear dresses anymore, she wants to be anything but girly, but I am still going to live the dream and I dont think I am quite ready to let go of her wearing bows. We will have to meet in the middle somewhere.
I bought a dress similar to this one and also the matching bow from Strasburg for Leah to wear to church and believe it or not, she actually liked it and it made me feel amazing! There is still some girly left...yay!

Me and my love!

This is from out St. Maarten trip!

My Summer Book Read!

Now that I have a week off of school (thank God!), I am going to take this time to really enjoy my daughter, but also at the same time, i get to start a summer book read. During the summer, I want to read something light and fun that keeps me pinned to the book and this is what I came up with. I love anything history and mythology is something that I want to read about, so I am hoping its a good read! It has great reviews and I am going to pick it up sometime over the weekend, so when I am done, I will give you my review. What are you reading this summer?

P.S. Just to keep you updated, the vegetarian thing is going great! I have slipped up about 2 times, but the weight is flying off and it is keeping me focused, plus I am enjoying it! I am learning new recipes and it has been fun.

Once again, me and my damn addiction!

(From www.lottieanddoof.com)

I have such an addiction to the Lottie & Doof website! It just amazes me with all of the creative recipes. Not since I absolutely love onions, I am going to make this yummy onion dip to cool me off over the weekend! Here it is and lets all try it and see how it turns out! Here you go:

Charred Onion Dip (adapted from Frank Stitt’s Bottega Favorita)
2 cups sour cream
1 tablespoon Mascarpone I am sure you could use cream cheese)
2 teaspoons whole-grain mustard
6 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 tablespoon thinly sliced chives
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Two 1/2-inch-thick slices charred red onion, finely chopped
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Combine sour cream, Mascarpone, mustard, Tabasco, chives, lemon juice, and Worcestershire in a medium bowl. Fold in chopped onions, taste the mixture and season with salt, pepper and additional Tabasco if needed.
